whoever invented the vacation deserves to win a nobel peace prize. i don't think i have been on a real vacation since the ninth grade (which was the worst family vacation i have ever been on) and i must say, VACATIONS ARE AWESOME!
i am so blessed to have great friends who lent me their cottage for 5 days up in beautiful minden, on. a number of friends were able to come and stay part of the time while i was there and we enjoyed good food and fun times together. highlights included the people, the food, paddle boating, sunsets, the food, playing games (yes, even i had fun playing games...), campfires, good books to read, and the food. even getting completely lost in the woods with zeb for over an hour and a half was somewhat enjoyable, mostly when we found our way out though. i feel well rested and relaxed now as things slowly build up to september when everything will get very busy again.
i will definitely be taking vacation annually, now that i have a taste for them. hope these pictures make you feel like you were there with us (click on the images for a larger view).
